Hi there!

Boy, it's been awhile. Andy and I were talking the other day about how it's been AGES since we've drawn anything! What with trying to get our lives in order and whatnot (and getting swept away with other hobbies) drawing just seemed to have fallen out of accord with us. It was a sad state of affairs. I missed drawing and hopefully drawing missed me. But now that our house is in working order, with all the right parts where they need to be (couch: check, dining room table: check, potato masher: 0_o), there was finally time to consider what to do for decorations!

We spent some time just searching around different stores, trying to get ideas, and decided that we hated everything we saw ^_~. In so much as framed art/posters/prints go. The things we were searching for just weren't available at Michaels or Target, things like large paintings of Red Pandas catching tea with large, furry monsters. ^_^.

So, we're going to be framing a lot of our own work and hanging that up around the house. It is a rather daunting, but mostly terribly exciting, art project. It's a great couple-y thing to do too! It's so awesome having a boyfriend that draws! And we've lucked out, 'cause our tastes are pretty much aligned (with only a few differences here and there). But for the most part, things have been smooth sailing. We've come up with ideas for most of the rooms. We started today with small pictures for our bedroom. Just something to spruce things up. We had way too much fun, not only creating these, but brainstorming their conception and finding the PERFECT frames! Today was a great day. That's right, start to finish, it took all day.

Anyway, I hope that now we've gotten the ball rolling there will be much drawing to do! I'm so looking forward to it!
